Abstract

This paper analyses some methodological issues in Claudio Giunta’s
book Versi a un destinatario, in relation to new trends in thirteenth and fourteenth century studies. It particularly examines the book’s reflections on formal poetry, intertextuality, and the importance of literary essays that address longterm questions.
