Notes about Antonio Beccari and Menghino Mezzani’s ‘tenzone dantesca’. The answer of Mino di Vanni d’Arezzo.

Abstract

The article defines the historical and philological framework of a ‘tenzone’ between Antonio Beccari and Menghino Mezzani focused on the first italian campaign of emperor Charles IV. A critical edition of a third sonnet, written by Mino di Vanni d’Arezzo in response to Beccari, is eventually offered.
