Giovan Battista Andreini in the dramaturgical experience of Luca Ronconi

Abstract

Luca Ronconi is the director who more than any other has devoted special attention to Andreini's dramaturgy: La Centaura (1972 and 2004), Le due commedia in commedia (1984), Amor nello specchio (1987 and 2002). An example of repertoire innovation within the canon of Italian classics, undoubtedly more advanced even than the average of academic culture itself; Ronconi's productions represented a challenge to the audience's habits due to their dramaturgical complexity: work with actors on text and word, use of stage space.
