Gadda and De Marchi: a survey

Abstract

By identifying precise thematic drafts and some plausible textual evidence, the article intends to raise attention to the relationship between Carlo Emilio Gadda’s work and that of his fellow citizen Emilio De Marchi, hitherto never investigated with adequate depth. The survey thus aims to initiate and promote critical studies on a topic of no secondary importance as regards the linguistic and cultural matrices of the writing of Carlo Emilio Gadda.
